WordPress Hosting in Nepal: 2026 Buyer’s Guide

RovixCloud Team October 9, 2026 8 min read

When someone asks for a WordPress plan, the first question is not “How many visitors do you allow?” It is usually “Will my business website stay fast, backed up and supportable when I am busy?” That is the lens I would use when comparing WordPress hosting in Nepal.

Start with the site you actually run

A five-page company site, a news site with a large media library and a WooCommerce store are three different workloads. Note the number of websites, email accounts, plugins, monthly visitors and approximate upload size. It is better to choose a modest plan with a clear upgrade path than to pay for an impressive limit you will never use.

Ask about versions, not just “WordPress ready”

The WordPress requirements page currently recommends PHP 8.3 or newer, MySQL 8.0 or MariaDB 10.11, and HTTPS. Your host should be able to tell you which versions are available today and how they handle updates. NVMe storage, HTTP/3 and caching are useful, but they cannot rescue a bloated theme or a plugin that runs an expensive query on every page.

Backups are a feature only when you can restore them

Ask how often files and databases are copied, how long they are kept and who performs the restore. Before a large plugin or theme update, take a fresh point-in-time backup and make sure you know where the restore request goes. If you are moving an existing site, migration help can save more time than a small price difference.

Security is more than the padlock

HTTPS protects the connection, but WordPress still needs current plugins, separate administrator accounts, strong passwords and sensible file permissions. The WordPress team’s hardening guide is a good reference. Also ask what happens when a plugin is compromised: can the host identify the file, isolate the account and help you restore a known-good copy?

Be precise about storage

“Unlimited” is not a useful answer if the account has an inode or CPU limit. Ask for storage, inodes, memory, CPU, mailbox and database limits in writing. RovixCloud starts packages at a 5 GB storage limit to reduce abuse; if a site has a legitimate need for more, support can review the request and size the increase instead of leaving the account ambiguous.

Check the site after migration

Do not stop when the homepage opens. Test the admin login, contact form, search, image uploads, email delivery, redirects and any payment or booking flow. Run PageSpeed Insights on a real page template, not only the default homepage. The useful comparison is the before-and-after result on the pages visitors actually use.

Questions worth sending to a host

  1. Which PHP and database versions are available now?
  2. What exactly is included in a backup, and how is a restore requested?
  3. What are the storage, inode, CPU and memory limits?
  4. Can you help migrate the files, database and DNS?
  5. What is the upgrade path if traffic or media storage grows?
